Speaker A:

Listen to the Sean Sean Geek Sean Geeking podcast.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you got it, folks.

Speaker A:

It's me again with a little aptitude for all you out here in white bread land.

Speaker A:

Let's see, we're on 92fm and it feels like a nice clean little band so far.

Speaker A:

No one else is using it.

Speaker A:

The price is right.

Speaker A:

Don't you find it, crusty Dave?

Speaker B:

This is bigger than friendship.

Speaker B:

This is what you call cosm.

Speaker B:

And the Buddhists call it, let me see, reincarnation.

Speaker A:

Mushy, mushy.

Speaker A:

Hey, wait a minute.

Speaker A:

Since when is Pismo beach inside a cave, I wonder.

Speaker A:

You know, I just think we should have turned left at Albuquerque and then maybe a right turn at La Jolla.

Speaker C:

Shush.

Speaker C:

Hush, please.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the Sean Sean Geek and Fast Fred podcast.

Speaker B:

Podcast.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

Traditional way that we do things.

Speaker B:

New gear.

Speaker A:

New gear.

Speaker A:

You know what?

Speaker A:

I had no issues last week recording.

Speaker A:

It was fine.

Speaker A:

Everything was good, Everything worked out.

Speaker A:

I don't know, Opened.

Speaker A:

What's going on?

Speaker B:

That's a weird one.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker A:

My microphone's not working.

Speaker A:

My great expensive microphone.

Speaker A:

But there's so many things plugged in here.

Speaker A:

I mean, it could be related to that.

Speaker A:

I was thinking of going down to one monitor, one monitor in my laptop and leaving it at that and seeing if that does anything.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

But anyway, we're here, we're recording.

Speaker A:

How are you doing, brother?

Speaker B:

Well, not bad.

Speaker B:

It's freaking freezing outside.

Speaker B:

It's raining the last couple days, so I'm glad I was able to put some time in on the, on the shed for that one day.

Speaker B:

That was actually decently temperature wise.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So what?

Speaker A:

So do you have to do something inside still or.

Speaker B:

Yeah, well, that.

Speaker B:

Well, not so much inside.

Speaker B:

I gotta put the door on and a bunch of trim stuff.

Speaker B:

But I was able to get the roof done with shingles.

Speaker B:

So it's my first time shingling, but I think it turned out okay.

Speaker B:

I sent you actually pictures of it.

Speaker A:

Oh, let's take a peek here.

Speaker A:

Let's look at the shed.

Speaker A:

Everyone's asking about the shed.

Speaker A:

So let's take a look at the shed.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I did the one.

Speaker B:

I did like the perimeter.

Speaker A:

This looks great.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So the roof is now complete and I wanted to get that done before it was raining like today and yesterday.

Speaker B:

Well, I don't know if rain.

Speaker A:

That's good.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So I still.

Speaker B:

I mean, the door is still wide open because there's no door on it yet.

Speaker B:

But like the opening.

Speaker B:

So that's my next thing.

Speaker B:

Once the, the temperature moves up a little bit and there's no rain.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I think we're gonna get like.

Speaker A:

I got as we were recording like my father in law called and he was, he was joking that he had to put snow tires on today.

Speaker A:

I don't think we're quite there yet.

Speaker B:

Well, temperature wise it would seem so, but I'm hoping.

Speaker A:

Temperature.

Speaker A:

It says 6 degrees, right?

Speaker A:

Holy shit.

Speaker A:

6 Degrees.

Speaker A:

Is that cold?

Speaker A:

Damn.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it's a little chilly.

Speaker B:

And what is that?

Speaker B:

Conversion to our American friends.

Speaker A:

Let's see.

Speaker A:

Six Celsius, two Fahrenheit.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

If Bob and Doug were here, we'd be able to figure it out.

Speaker B:

Yeah,.

Speaker A:

42.8 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I would say, you know,.

Speaker A:

Isn't 40 degrees like the freezing point in Fahrenheit?

Speaker B:

I think.

Speaker A:

Let's see what zero says.

Speaker A:

Well, 32 degrees Fahrenheit is the freezing point.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

Hold Shit, man.

Speaker B:

It's cool.

Speaker A:

So we've both been adding a lot of stuff on the topic board here.

Speaker A:

Oh yeah, okay, that's good.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Also added stuff on our Google or on my, my Gmail.

Speaker A:

I email myself sometimes.

Speaker A:

See,.

Speaker B:

We don't have to do hooked up to your phone.

Speaker A:

I do, but sometimes I want to type a full thing out.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

Put in like the easier with a.

Speaker B:

Keyboard than the phone.

Speaker A:

Okay, so all right, so this is good.

Speaker A:

This is actually a great topic here.

Speaker A:

But I'm just going to add in a link.

Speaker A:

There we go.

Speaker A:

Links, yes.

Speaker A:

Not Linux links?

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

All right, so and I've added that on the board.

Speaker A:

I just want to make sure there's links in there.

Speaker A:

So if we click on something it's like I don't know what the fuck we're talking about, you know, Want to know.

Speaker B:

We're talking.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

We're going to do this top board thing.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I'm using a proper keyboard.

Speaker A:

There's actual F keys on it.

Speaker A:

Keys, as they, as they say in Newfoundland.

Speaker A:

All right, Here we go.

Speaker A:

F9 Opic 70.

Speaker A:

Wait, where's her freaking song?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Sweet.

Speaker A:

Okay, so this is interesting.

Speaker A:

So I'm looking at how many hours I got left record and it says like we're already halfway through our thing here.

Speaker B:

When you're saying record, record on a, on a disc.

Speaker A:

I'm recording on an SD card.

Speaker B:

Well, on an sd.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Interesting, interesting because we're doing a multi track recording.

Speaker A:

It's really weird because probably take up more room.

Speaker A:

Is this a one gig card?

Speaker A:

It might be a one gig card.

Speaker B:

Is there a Max?

Speaker B:

Is there a Max that you can use on a zoom?

Speaker B:

I guess it depends on.

Speaker A:

I don't think there's a Max.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna look to see if I have another card in the meantime.

Speaker A:

Professionals.

Speaker B:

Yeah, all the way.

Speaker B:

You can do switch cards halfway through or just have it.

Speaker B:

Or just have it in case.

Speaker A:

Maybe, like.

Speaker A:

See, I wish it used, like, SD cards, not micro.

Speaker A:

Like, this is an eight gig.

Speaker A:

I thought this one must be only a one.

Speaker A:

It doesn't even tell me how big it is.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's already, like, more than, like, 60%.

Speaker B:

Wow.

Speaker A:

Interesting.

Speaker B:

So do you erase the old stuff?

Speaker A:

Well, I did today.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker B:

So you should have all kinds of room.

Speaker A:

Yeah, there's nothing on there now.

Speaker A:

It's multi track.

Speaker A:

When I did it.

Speaker A:

When I didn't do it in multi track, it was fine.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

I don't know what the deal is.

Speaker A:

I might have to go get another card.

Speaker A:

But it'll tell me when it's done recording and then we'll just go from there.

Speaker A:

I'm also recording on zoom.

Speaker A:

Okay, we'll see how that goes.

Speaker A:

That's crazy.

Speaker A:

Anyway, so.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

So topic 70.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker A:

70.

Speaker A:

70.

Speaker B:

This is like the 70th topic.

Speaker A:

I don't have no idea what this is the 70th topic.

Speaker A:

Brain is in one universe and the vessel in another.

Speaker A:

Consciousness.

Speaker A:

The hell was that?

Speaker A:

Todd, you.

Speaker B:

That was a long time ago.

Speaker B:

My God.

Speaker B:

Your consciousness.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I mean, you have your body and you have your consciousness.

Speaker B:

If you were to.

Speaker B:

I don't think you could switch bodies like your consciousness.

Speaker B:

I'm just wondering if you could switch consciousnesses from one body to another.

Speaker B:

But that's kind of deep.

Speaker A:

She's like, wow.

Speaker B:

I mean, you could be talking about parallel universes and, you know, kind of stacked.

Speaker B:

And then you have the time frame where time is an actual thing.

Speaker B:

It's more of a layer.

Speaker B:

I don't know, it's.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it's even too deep for.

Speaker B:

For this.

Speaker A:

Okay, are we gonna skip this one?

Speaker A:

Do we want to revisit it later or.

Speaker B:

Well, maybe we can revisit it later.

Speaker A:

All right, I'll keep it on there.

Speaker A:

Let's f9 this thing again.

Speaker B:

That was so long ago, I didn't really put an.

Speaker B:

Explain.

Speaker B:

See, that's what you say when you emailed yourself and then you typed a bunch of stuff, probably to explain more what you were trying to.

Speaker B:

Trying to communicate.

Speaker A:

All right, I just hit F9 again.

Speaker A:

69.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Oh, boy.

Speaker A:

Pass or go okay.

Speaker A:

Oh, boy.

Speaker A:

This is exciting.

Speaker A:

All right, Todd, let's play this freaking song now.

Speaker A:

You're gonna have no clue what it is.

Speaker A:

And this was a recommendation.

Speaker A:

I did not put this song in here.

Speaker A:

This was recommend requested for you.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Make sure.

Speaker A:

What's the volume at here?

Speaker A:

I don't want it all the way to the top.

Speaker A:

All right, you ready?

Speaker B:

Yep.

Speaker C:

Sam.

Speaker C:

It.

Speaker C:

Guilty of no cry not enough yet.

Speaker C:

Too much time I'm burning in this hell Plans to buy and dreams to sell.

Speaker C:

Living life and loving life but something bothers me what to do I can't believe I'm bored.

Speaker B:

Sounds like someone was having fun with a looper pedal.

Speaker A:

Oh, well, yeah.

Speaker B:

Multirac then just threw his voice on.

Speaker B:

Yeah, I just layered it and layered it and took some layers away.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Weird.

Speaker B:

Originally I thought it was get.

Speaker B:

I thought.

Speaker B:

Originally I thought it was like Getty Lee back in the 70s.

Speaker B:

But then I was like, no, that's not him.

Speaker A:

Like, vocally, his voice.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, Yeah.

Speaker B:

That doesn't sound familiar.

Speaker B:

I don't know who that would be.

Speaker A:

Yeah, they were a major feature on the Pepsi power hour.

Speaker A:

All the time.

Speaker A:

They would play all the time.

Speaker A:

I actually thought they were a Canadian band until I got corrected on it.

Speaker A:

I just assumed they were Canadian because they played it all the time, you know, because Canadian content.

Speaker A:

Right, right.

Speaker A:

But.

Speaker B:

Okay, so who are we versing?

Speaker A:

Was that.

Speaker B:

You said it was versus, right?

Speaker A:

Oh, no, no, no.

Speaker A:

I said pass or go.

Speaker B:

Oh, pass or go.

Speaker B:

Well, we can do.

Speaker A:

We could do a pass or go into a. I would say.

Speaker B:

I would pass on that one.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

It's just like.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker B:

And it just does the whole thing over again.

Speaker B:

Just a different version of it.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

Rinse and repeat.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, I. Yeah, I could see that.

Speaker A:

I do like this because I just like that part where it goes.

Speaker A:

I'm bored.

Speaker A:

Which.

Speaker A:

Which is probably how Todd is feeling right now.

Speaker A:

I'm bored with this.

Speaker A:

I don't know if I like this.

Speaker B:

He's putting in the loop.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

I've listened to it so many.

Speaker B:

That's like the.

Speaker B:

Was it the blues?

Speaker B:

When you're playing blues, 12 bars blues, it's got the same notes all the time.

Speaker B:

After a while, it's like, okay, just.

Speaker A:

Play one line and hit.

Speaker B:

Throw in a minor chord in there somewhere.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So that's a pass.

Speaker A:

Okay, well, let's.

Speaker A:

We're going to do a versus version of this, I guess.

Speaker A:

So let's see.

Speaker A:

Where can I do an F9 on this screen.

Speaker A:

What can I do F9 here?

Speaker A:

Oh, there we go.

Speaker A:

113.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I don't know the song.

Speaker A:

Neither one of us is going to know this song.

Speaker A:

This was a given to us.

Speaker A:

Okay, By.

Speaker A:

Oh, by the way, that band we just played, they're called Death angel and the song is called Fort and Bored.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

So this one is.

Speaker B:

Even the Death Angels get bored.

Speaker A:

What the hell?

Speaker A:

I don't.

Speaker A:

I got to make sure I'm typing this in right.

Speaker A:

So I don't even remember who requested.

Speaker A:

It's between two people.

Speaker A:

I just can't remember who said this one.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker B:

So this.

Speaker B:

Was this a pass or go or was this a verse?

Speaker A:

This is a no, this is a pass or go.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

We could do a versus between the song we just heard.

Speaker A:

In this song, we could do an overall victory.

Speaker B:

Like either.

Speaker B:

Yeah, sure.

Speaker A:

Okay, so I'm gonna actually, so I don't forget, I'm gonna add this to a save to playlist.

Speaker A:

Edit the pass or go so we know.

Speaker A:

Okay, now here's the next song requested by one of two people.

Speaker A:

I don't know which one it was, but here we go.

Speaker C:

Shake your money, shake Shake your money Shake your money shake Shake your money Shake your money maker.

Speaker C:

The return on this is good.

Speaker C:

We'll boost round for the sample.

Speaker C:

We're in the neighborhood Shake your money maker Take it straight out on my face.

Speaker C:

You're a bleeding motherfucking now Aren't you gonna bleed in a different place?

Speaker C:

Everybody used to be a boxer.

Speaker C:

Everybody had a boxing double.

Speaker C:

I mean, we are so still in trouble.

Speaker C:

To little.

Speaker B:

Now, whoever this is singing, if you took him out and put David Bowie in there be the same.

Speaker B:

That would be his music.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Actually musically it sounds.

Speaker B:

I was.

Speaker B:

I was trying to think of the song that.

Speaker B:

That reminds me of from David Bowie, but I couldn't remember.

Speaker A:

I think I would like a David Bowie like vocal on there.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it's almost like.

Speaker A:

Because it would make it so interesting.

Speaker B:

Well, I thought it was David Bowie when the music was starting.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

But then as soon as the voice come out says, well, he could pass as a.

Speaker B:

Was it not a clone but a.

Speaker B:

Someone impersonates him.

Speaker B:

But he wouldn't have gotten the tone perfect.

Speaker B:

But no, that's what it.

Speaker B:

That's what it sounded like.

Speaker B:

That one.

Speaker B:

That.

Speaker B:

That's a go for me.

Speaker A:

That's a go.

Speaker B:

Yeah, that's a go.

Speaker B:

That's a.

Speaker B:

It's good.

Speaker B:

It's a good head bopper.

Speaker A:

Now if we were verse to sing the Last song in this one.

Speaker A:

Obviously this one wins then for you.

Speaker B:

Oh, for sure.

Speaker A:

For sure.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I. I don't like this song.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

I think the vote.

Speaker A:

There's something about.

Speaker A:

It's just.

Speaker A:

It's driving me nuts.

Speaker A:

Something about his vocal I'm not liking.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Music's fine enough, but I'm really getting bored.

Speaker B:

Like, it's like a summer.

Speaker B:

It's like a summer song at the beach.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

It's not doing it for me.

Speaker A:

So either.

Speaker A:

I don't know who brought this in.

Speaker A:

Either Heath brought it in or Kevin Brown brought it in.

Speaker A:

So I can't.

Speaker A:

I'm not sure one of the two of them brought it in, but I. I don't.

Speaker A:

You know what?

Speaker A:

I give a go on Death Angel.

Speaker A:

Word.

Speaker A:

I like that one more than I like this one.

Speaker A:

Okay, so we're in a lock here, so.

Speaker A:

Okay, well, let's.

Speaker A:

Let's play another one then.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So I get a mark that we did at 113.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, let's hit F9 again.

Speaker A:

Wait, I gotta go over here.

Speaker B:

What's all that spaghetti writing on your shirt?

Speaker A:

Oh, it's the Tragically Hip.

Speaker A:

It's a bunch of lyrics from Tragically Hip.

Speaker B:

Ah, okay.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

All right, I'm gonna go back over here.

Speaker A:

Pass Go.

Speaker A:

Hit F9.

Speaker A:

110.

Speaker A:

What's 110?

Speaker A:

Okay, here's another.

Speaker A:

Oh my God.

Speaker A:

Keith.

Speaker A:

Keith brought this one in.

Speaker A:

So let's see how it goes.

Speaker A:

There we go.

Speaker A:

All right, let's try this out.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Oh, that other song called.

Speaker A:

Was called Shake youe Money by Black Grape.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

It's great when you're straight.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Oh, whatever.

Speaker A:

All right, here we go.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Is it playing?

Speaker B:

Oh, here we go.

Speaker A:

Oh, there you go.

Speaker C:

Oh, is this the way they say the future's meant to Feel?

Speaker C:

Are just 20,000 people standing in the field And I don't quite understand just what this feeling is that's okay cause we're all sorted out for reason whiz and tell me when the spaceship lands Cause all this has just got to mean something.

Speaker C:

Oh in the middle of the night it feels alright Then tomorrow morning O then you can't tell.

Speaker C:

Oh yeah the pirate radio told us what was going down Got the tickets from some folks up bloke in Camden Town oh no one seems to know exactly where it is but that's okay cuz we're all sorted out for reason with at 4 o' clock the no world seems very, very very far Away.

Speaker C:

All right.

Speaker B:

Did they just throw some echo in there just for sakes?

Speaker A:

So the song is called Sorted For Ease.

Speaker B:

Sorted for what?

Speaker A:

The letter E. Sorted for E's like the letter E and wiz.

Speaker A:

W, I, Z.

Speaker A:

Z. I don't know what that means.

Speaker B:

It's like the British Invasion.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, they're definitely a British band.

Speaker B:

That's more like a pub song.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I mean, mind, it's not bad.

Speaker A:

What does it mean?

Speaker A:

What does it mean?

Speaker A:

What does this mean?

Speaker B:

Do you actually think they're going to.

Speaker A:

Tell you what it means?

Speaker A:

E's slang for ecstasy.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Whiz, slang for speed.

Speaker A:

The phrase translates to do you have ecstasy and speed?

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

So hang on.

Speaker A:

So let's.

Speaker A:

Let's put.

Speaker A:

What are these lyrics here?

Speaker A:

Oh, is this the way they say the future's meant to feel?

Speaker A:

Or just 20,000 people standing in a field and I don't quite understand just what this feeling is but that's okay because we're all sorted out for ease and wiz and tell me when the spaceship lands because all this just got to mean something.

Speaker A:

Oh, in the middle of the night it feels all right but then tomorrow morning, oh, oh, Then you come down.

Speaker A:

The pirate radio told us what was going down.

Speaker A:

Get the tickets from some up bloat in Camden Town.

Speaker A:

Oh.

Speaker A:

And no one seems to know exactly where it is but that's okay because we're all sorted out for ease and whiz.

Speaker A:

Four o' clock.

Speaker A:

The normal world seems very, very far away.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

In the middle of the night.

Speaker A:

I don't know what's going on here.

Speaker B:

Well, the lyrics, yeah, they don't tell the whole story.

Speaker B:

It's not like a storybook where it progresses to something where you can actually try and make sense of it.

Speaker B:

It's probably just playing words.

Speaker A:

Did you use a pass or go in this one?

Speaker B:

If I was at a pub, yeah, that would be go.

Speaker B:

But to listen at home, no, you.

Speaker A:

Know, I feel the same way.

Speaker A:

Now, how did it compare to the one we just heard?

Speaker A:

That Black Grape one, The Bowie style one?

Speaker B:

Yeah, that was a goal for me.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So, okay, so that's your winner so far.

Speaker A:

I like the Black Grape, the one before this one, way better than this one.

Speaker A:

There's something about this one I'm just not digging.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Maybe if Heath was here, he could explain the logic.

Speaker A:

But.

Speaker A:

And I mean, here's the thing, we're not listening to it properly.

Speaker A:

We're not like, you know, sitting there in our car with it cranked or.

Speaker A:

Like there's no context.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We're just sitting here at our podcast studio.

Speaker A:

So maybe, you know, maybe this sounds better after multiple listens.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Maybe there's something here.

Speaker A:

It's just not.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

But I don't know.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

It's a mess for me.

Speaker A:

That's a pass for me.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

For a regular song, it's a pass.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

For a specific pub, having a few drinks.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

If I heard this in the pub, it'd be fine.

Speaker A:

Like, I don't know what this is, and I'm probably never gonna remember what this is.

Speaker A:

It's kind of background, and that's okay, you know?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

All right, let's hopefully do it again.

Speaker A:

Hopefully you get some good one.

Speaker A:

16.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

What the hell is this?

Speaker A:

Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

Okay, I guess I'm putting this in here.

Speaker A:

We're gonna try this.

Speaker A:

If we don't get a good song.

Speaker A:

Oh, wait, no, wait.

Speaker A:

Oh, I know.

Speaker A:

Okay, this might be interesting.

Speaker A:

Anyway, that last.

Speaker A:

That last song was banned, sort of for ease.

Speaker A:

Pulp P. Lp, like the Juice.

Speaker B:

Oh, Pulp.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Jarvis Cocker, I think is the singer.

Speaker A:

But okay, let's.

Speaker A:

Let's.

Speaker A:

This one's going to be interesting, I think.

Speaker A:

Here we go.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker C:

Saint.

Speaker A:

This dude's run.

Speaker B:

Oh, is it?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Sounds like his stuff.

Speaker C:

Wait a minute now Me and the boys taking a walk Grabbing a little and just having a talk in come this chick Blous and jeans and man, what she slicks but it wasn't the size that got my eyes but what made me realize for goodness sakes, just look at those kicks look at.

Speaker C:

Right away I had to say I feel some guilt because, brother, what she built my head to her feet I know she had to be nice taste and sweet but one thing I want to say for goodness sakes, just look at those cakes.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker B:

Okay, good.

Speaker A:

So it's called, for goodness sakes, look at those cakes.

Speaker B:

Okay, so this reminds me a lot of Diamond Dave's Shuffleish singing.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker B:

If you took Diamond Dave out of Van Halen and you put him in there doing his shuffle and shake and his, you know, his background little screeches and screams.

Speaker B:

I wonder if someone did that with, say, with AI or something.

Speaker B:

Just take Diamond Day's voice out and, you know, put it.

Speaker B:

Put his in there and we'll see what we get.

Speaker B:

Or you could put Diamond Dave's on his music and get him out of there and see how that would be.

Speaker B:

It'd probably be pretty close.

Speaker B:

Different tone, but.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's a really.

Speaker A:

That's really good.

Speaker A:

I actually.

Speaker A:

I'd never really thought of it that way, but, I mean, when he had that, like, freaking dance floor when we saw them, and he's, you know, shuffling and sliding along and all that sort of stuff, it's like.

Speaker B:

It's like a James Brown.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker B:

That'd be different.

Speaker B:

A mashup.

Speaker A:

I really enjoyed that.

Speaker B:

Instead of going from one song to another, you would just switch the voices around.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

So that's a.

Speaker A:

That's a.

Speaker A:

That's a goal.

Speaker B:

That's a go.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

All day and twice on Sundays.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

You can feel it.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

And just like, even little things, like some of the music, the musicians so tightly.

Speaker A:

There's one part where the guitar is going, like, just.

Speaker A:

But it's just, like, everything is an accent to something else.

Speaker A:

Like, everything is just the layer.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Like, that band has to be so freaking tight because, you know, next thing you know, James is like, let's go in this direction.

Speaker A:

And then all of a sudden, they just have to, like, freaking change.

Speaker A:

And everyone has to go, though.

Speaker A:

But if one person falls off the bus, probably fired from the band, to be honest.

Speaker B:

Same arrangement, same bpm.

Speaker B:

We'll just.

Speaker B:

We're gonna switch it up a little bit.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Do it two times.

Speaker B:

Do double time.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

That was great.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

You know what?

Speaker A:

That came from Heath.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Heath.

Speaker A:

For goodness sakes, look at those cakes.

Speaker A:

James Brown from the album.

Speaker A:

Take a look at those cakes.

Speaker B:

God.

Speaker A:

Great.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

That was good.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

What, do we want to go back?

Speaker A:

Wait, so out of all those four songs that we listen to, which.

Speaker A:

Which one takes the cake?

Speaker B:

This one?

Speaker A:

Yeah, same, same, same.

Speaker A:

Same.

Speaker A:

Sorry.

Speaker A:

Black Grape.

Speaker A:

Sorry, sorry.

Speaker A:

Death Angel.

Speaker A:

Not.

Speaker A:

You got nothing on James.

Speaker A:

James is where it's at.

Speaker A:

That was freaking hot.

Speaker B:

So good.

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Let's.

Speaker A:

You want to cap it there, Todd?

Speaker B:

Sure.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna try to stay with my box and figure out.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna work out some.

Speaker A:

Some things.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna see if I can work up the reaper.

Speaker A:

The reaper thing.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And you.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

But I did want to say, though, you said you just got a game, right?

Speaker B:

Yeah, I mean, I got the:

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

And I knew I had a.

Speaker B:

Because usually My games are all through Steam, but I remember one time I was looking through, I don't know if it was this computer or something, and I had Ubisoft loaded or something, UB Connect or something, and it said Far Cry 5 or 6 or whatever the newest one is.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

And I went, oh, I must have bought it through them and put it in.

Speaker B:

So I went and I loaded it, the actual program, and actually showed me that I still had it.

Speaker B:

So I loaded the whole game and I could actually continue from where I had left off.

Speaker B:

You know what?

Speaker B:

I haven't played it for so many years.

Speaker B:

I'm going to start from the beginning, so.

Speaker B:

Oh, yeah, so, yeah, I just started back from the beginning.

Speaker B:

Just, you know, today it was not going to be a garage building day.

Speaker B:

It was just going to be kind of a chill and relaxed day, so thought I'd load it in and give it a whirl.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I mean, I was just in the studio, like doing my studio.

Speaker A:

Up all day.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I like the new setup, though.

Speaker A:

I showed it to you.

Speaker A:

What'd you think?

Speaker B:

Yeah, it's good.

Speaker A:

So you even have.

Speaker B:

Behind your desk now?

Speaker A:

Well, yeah, I actually moved the.

Speaker A:

I moved the.

Speaker A:

Like I'm further away from the back there right behind me.

Speaker A:

And for when Alex comes over at the end of the table, kind of in that direction.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker A:

I may have to find another mic, though, to figure out something out with that.

Speaker A:

But whatever, whatever.

Speaker A:

We'll figure that out.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

So, all right, I guess we're going to sign off here.

Speaker A:

You can go to our patreon.

Speaker A:

Become a patreon here.

Speaker A:

Something that works for you.

Speaker A:

Go check it out.

Speaker A:

Yeah, and we'll see if I get a list of patrons here somewhere.

Speaker A:

We've got.

Speaker A:

Oh, I don't have the list of patrons.

Speaker A:

Let's see if I can do it by memory.

Speaker A:

I don't know if I can do it by memory.

Speaker A:

I'm just gonna open it up.

Speaker B:

I was gonna say you're gonna forget somebody.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna forget somebody.

Speaker B:

And someone's gonna be mad and name somebody three times.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Oh, did I say that person's name yet?

Speaker A:

Let's see who do we got?

Speaker A:

Chats Explorer feed notifications?

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Sean McGinity

Hi, I am Sean "SeanGeek" McGinity. And I am a geek. For me, the definition of the word geek comes from liking something so much, that I deep dive into it. Not just consuming it... but becoming it. I "geek out". Everything started with comics. I read them and studied them with a fine eye, and then started making my own. Since then, I have "geeked out" on movies (Star Wars The Evil WIthin, Hurt), music writing, recording, and performing (The Classic Embers and Dome), writing (the Symka comic and the upcoming Intuitives novel), and now... this Podcast.

Todd McGinity

Hey guys, SeanGeek here. Just to be clear, this is me geeking out on Todd "FastFretFingers" McGinity here. Todd is the GOAT. My brother is an established musician, mastering the Fretboard with a blistering discipline. If there was a guitar style, tone, pitch... Todd would find a way to replicate it. From his early days mastering Van Halen and Rush, his musical palate has expanded with forays into classical and flamenco, hard rock, blues and pop. From live performances to learning the recording process, when it comes to music, he has done it all.
